I have been really busy considering this is the last week before internship. So I decided just to post some assignments I have been working on. These include: A final composite montage, a conceptual time photo, a product shot of a lantern, and the last, an assignment that focused on a very personal event in ones life that made us who we are today.
Also I will begin my internship at Albion Associates in High Point, NC next Thursday. Wish me luck!!!

With hardly any free time I still managed to get this assignment done. The assignment was to create 5-10 "lifestyle" images involving a group of interacting people positively. Luckily for me, a good friend of mine, and my main model, has the ideal family for this assignment. I took ideas from images on istock for the poses. The lighting was just a giant soft box outside of their sliding window doors. I am extremely happy with the outcome of these shots. It has been non stop all semester and I hace no idea how I'm going to get through this week/weekend but this assignment has made me even more confident in my abilities. A HUGE thanks to Wes, Alicia, and Sydney for their patience and cooperation!!!!

Recently it has been getting more difficult to be creative for me. I have been burnt out coming up with ideas so for this assignment, i took things more literally.
The image on the left is the back cover. I just thought of how the world is always changing. Change happens with time. and so on. The process led me to the world spinning. So I went outside under a tree and hit the shutter while spinning the camera. This took several attempts. I took up the exposure and saturation a little in post.
For the front image on the right, I rented a globe from an antique shop downtown and lit it the best I could. I then took a photo of Sam's eye and composited the two images together.

Another shot from the summer. We had an assignment titled "Up close and Personal" where we had to take close up photos of 36 different people. We had to use a wide angle lens a get about 2 ft from the person's face. This here is my buddy Dave. They were all supposed to be pictures of strangers but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. :) Thanks Dave!
